Driving It Home (2021-2022)

Driving It Home — Sustainability starts at home–both our own actions at home and wanting to ensure that we have safe and sustainable homes for our families and communities. But what is home? How do we create a sense of belonging and connection to allow everyone to feel at home? How does climate change and other sustainability challenges potentially disrupt people’s homes and alienate us from place? And how do we connect huge global issues of sustainability to our very local and personal homes?

Co-presented with WPSU, Driving It Home explored the meaning of home and the ways in which we can drive home the importance of global sustainability at the scale of our hometowns and individual communities. Exploring everything from underrepresented voices in our communities to entrepreneurs bringing sustainability into our lives, we shared stories of belonging and alienation and ways to build sustainability connections.
